Going 'Green' on your wedding day can save you money as well as helping to save the environment - here are my top tips for a green wedding:
- Use dried flower petals instead of confetti (a lot of venues are now insisting on this)
- Use seasonal flowers in your bouquets and floral decorations
- Use seasonal foods, especially vegetables and use local suppliers to cur down on 'food miles'
- Choose a venue that is local to you and the majority of your guests
- Send your invitations via email and set-up a wedding website that guests can visit with all the information they will need about your wedding
- Consider an environmentally friendly mode of transport to the wedding - a horse & carriage perhaps, an electric car, or even a tandem bicycle!
